To Everything There Is a Season is an exhibition of handcrafted works created by the women of the “The Pokfulam Village Ladies Group” in Pokfulam Village. The exhibition features fabric dyeing, embroidery, botanical printing, and floral art inspired by the natural world. More than a display of craftsmanship, these works are intimate

 life stories woven with nature—stories about the seasons, the village, and how women use their hands to record their lives.

The Chinese title “有時 carries layered meanings: when the Indian Almond (Terminalia catappa L) finishes blooming, dyeing must wait for another year; village women are often occupied with caregiving and work, making it rare for them to gather and create. “有時手作” 

means crafting only happens when time allows—a true reflection of the realities many women face today. We’ve learned to follow the rhythms of the seasons, and to cherish every fleeting moment we can gather—because everything has its time, and nothing can be forced.

This awareness of time and nature is rooted in the women’s deep connection to land. They live in Pokfulam Village—one of Hong Kong’s oldest and most storied villages. Once a rural farming community nestled between hills and sea, the village embraced a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. The philosophy of “eating what’s in season” and “living off the land” shapes not just their daily lives, but their creative process: dyes are made from village plants, designs are inspired by natural forms, and crafting schedules follow the weather and agricultural rhythms. Village life has taught them to wait, to observe, and to respect all living things. This natural sensibility lies at the heart of the exhibition.

The exhibition takes place at the historic Blue House in Wan Chai, adding layers of history and community to the experience. With over 80 years of history, Blue House is the Grade I historic building in the district, and one of Hong Kong’s last remaining examples of traditional tong lau (tenement buildings). More than a relic, it is the first revitalisation project in Hong Kong to adopt a “people-preserving” approach, allowing original residents to remain in their homes while the space.

牧場首次舉行復活節特備獵蛋遊戲加薄餅工作坊! 在牧場不同角落獵蛋的同時，輕鬆認識牧場歷史及牧牛小知識，再到餐廳參加一小時的手工薄餅製作。工作坊設限定甜點，由小朋友親自以不同動物模具製作。
