How many wartime and cultural heritage sites—and the stories they carry—remain hidden or buried within Hong Kong’s natural landscape?
Many of these lost histories have gradually faded from collective memory. With the support of two Innovation and Technology Fund projects, Department of Land Surveying and Geo-informatics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is advancing innovative geospatial technologies to uncover long-forgotten built heritage in Pokfulam Farm. These efforts support to bring history back to life, archaeological and historical research, as well as the mapping, study, and conservation of heritage in Hong Kong.
This exhibition invites reflection on how emerging geospatial technologies may further transform how we perceive, analyze, and connect with history—beyond equations, beyond text, and beyond images.
